We had s'mores tonight for dessert. They were awesome, by the way.
As we were getting messy with ooey-gooey melted chocolate and sticky toasted marshmallows, I said, "the messier the s'more, the better it tastes."
So Livie responds, "S'mores are like art . . . and artists. They're good when they're messy."
That's my girl!

Okay, first of all . . . why wait for dessert? Smores make a fine fine dinner. I'm just saying.
Second, Livie is BRILLIANT.
Hahaha! We only waited for dessert because dinner was *almost* as good as s'mores for dessert. ;)
Yep, Livie's one smart li'l cookie! :)
Oh, Livie, I agree! Sonya, there is a great series by the Museum of Modern Art to introduce art to young kids. My boys love these books. (And the author was my friend's boss when she worked at the museum!) Our favorite in the series (all are good): http://www.amazon.com/Colors-Childrens-Books-Philip-Yenawine/dp/0870701762/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c
Thanks for the recommendation, Kate! Livie and I will look for them next time we're at the library or bookstore!
