Barn Charm - Red Barn on the Go

Okay, here's another on-the-go "Barn Charm" entry! The photos are from a couple weeks ago, when Livie and I were on I-80 westbound, toward Des Moines. This red barn is one of my favorites; we pass it about once a month - every time we head to my parents' for a long weekend. It's on the north side of I-80, somewhere west of the Grinnell/New Sharon (Iowa) exit (#182).

(You can always click on the photos for a larger view.)

I love the contrast of the red barn against the green of the soybean crop. It looks like this particular farmer is getting enough rain; let's hope his/her season ends well.

Another view of that great red barn (sorry about the bug remnants on the windshield - they're not TOO distracting, I hope).

And one final  (kinda buggy) on-the-go view of this barn.

There is just something about red barns...I don't think I have ever seen one I did not like.

Wonderful shots esp. on the go! I also love the red amidst the green.
I like the low open stall dwelling in front of the barn. I pass a big, long one like that on my way to and from work, but it's on a dangerous curve so I haven't gotten a shot of it.

These traditional shaped red barns are becoming very scarce in my area. Nice to see one that appears to be in great shape and still being used.
