More Lava from New Mexico

Since I've been so homesick for New Mexico lately, and because the pull of procrastination is too strong to fight on a Saturday morning, I've decided to post more photos from New Mexico.

Here are a couple more photos from the Valley of Fire. (Click here to see the first Valley of Fire photo I posted the other day.) I, of course, took these photos in 2006, when Andrew and I went to Santa Fe for 24 hours. (Click here to read my (long) memory of our too-short time in Santa Fe).

Now if I could just hit the books for some more intense studying, and fight off writer's block for a few more days, I'll be finished with my semester (grad school) by evening on Friday the 16th.

I love these. I am so enthralled with the geology of this area of the country. It totally amazes me. They say once you've visited Santa Fe, there will be something about it that makes you long for it and you will be back (can't remember where I read that but if I come across it again I will let you know).

Such interesting landscape. Study hard.

Amazing how plants can find a foothold in the rock and actually thrive! :)

Good luck on your studies! My first time visiting. Love the header photo. I love Valley of Fire as well. Lets hope the Southwest has a strong enough pull for you to pull off an A! ;)
