Miscellaneous Photos

Hi everyone! I have a little bit of time here before I head off to do a couple errands and then drive down to school.

Anyway, I don't have a specific topic to write about this morning, but wanted to share a couple different photos, hence today's post title.

One photo was taken at dawn (nothing like stating the obvious, right? Hahaha!), and the other late in the afternoon:

A Morning Rainstorm

On Tuesday morning around sunrise, there was a rain storm to the east. Here's what it looked like:

Here's the view from the sidewalk (we're on a corner lot, so I had an unobstructed view).

And the view from the driveway.

I just had to go out and get a couple photos. Every so often, I'd see jagged lightning shooting from the clouds. And the sight was so spectacular in person, some guy even pulled into our driveway, got out of his car, and took photos.

The Reward for Getting Up Early

Aside from coffee with hazelnut flavoring, there IS another reward for getting up early:

I actually ran outside in my pajamas, barefoot, pre-coffee, just so I could capture this view yesterday morning. 

I absolutely love the stunning colors.

Once back inside with a fresh cup of coffee, I said a quiet "Thanks" to my grandfather for passing on his "early bird" genes to me.
